Kat specializes in developing custom project pipelines and workflows for projects involving new technologies and user experiences. She has created and managed budgets and schedules for hundreds of projects.
Kat began her professional career with an internship on The Misadventures of Maya & Miguel (Scholastic/PBS Kids). Shortly after, she co-created the festival trailer for the 14th Annual Philadelphia Film Festival. After graduating from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a BFA in Animation, she began working for Academy Award winning director Maciek Albrecht at MaGiK Animation. While at MaGiK, Kat worked on short films including John, Paul, George & Ben and The Cat Who Went to Heaven.
In 2007, Kat was hired by ANImagic in NYC as a Flash Animator on the television series Nate the Great (PBS Kids) based on the children’s book series of the same title. Due to unfortunate circumstances, the project ended early when the studio was closed and the artists laid off.
After Nate, Kat worked on a number of freelance projects for companies including:
- Motion Graphics for Artifact Pictures
- Flash Animation for Designomotion
- 3D Animation for MTV’s Human Giant
- 3D Pre-Visualization for EventQuest
- Background Painting for The Romantic
In the fall of 2007, Kat joined the team at All Things Media as an animator. She was promoted to Project Manager in the summer of 2008 and managed both large and small interactive and multimedia projects. She received a Certificate in Project Management from NYU in 2010.
In December of 2012, she transitioned into the role of Producer. Kat has produced 70+ live action, CG, and animated video projects for ATM. Selections from this body of work can be viewed on Vimeo.
